VILLA ORMANETO

Villa Ormaneto is a dream come true: a long sought-after residence, then renovated with touches of modernity and designer furnishing while still respecting the past.

Immersed in the Verona countryside, Villa Ormaneto is a charming residence where hospitality is the priority, making guests feel welcome, surrounded by beauty, care and warmth.

History

Villa Ormaneto was originally a hunting lodge, built in the first half of 1300 for the Scaliger family. Cangrande della Scala, Lord of Verona and leader of the Ghibelline faction, assigned the lodge to Zonta Ormaneto, his General Prefect of the Hunt, after whom the Villa is named.

Completely surrounded by greenery, with towering centuries-old trees, Villa Ormaneto is a perfect example of Venetian villa.

Church

The church, adjacent to the Villa, is dedicated to San Michele Arcangelo, patron saint of agriculture, legality and law enforcement. This 18th-century building has harmonious proportions and it still retains its distintive, Baroque architectural features.

It is possible to celebrate religious services inside the chapel.

Secular Park

Nature is protagonist in Villa Ormaneto, where guests will be able to enjoy tranquility and silence in its secular park, only interrupted by the chirping of birds. Green fields, centuries-old trees, and Caucasian wingnuts will take the guests in a natural paradise, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and the stress of everyday life.
